About the Clerkship Program

Our Brisbane Clerkship Program is designed for penultimate year students who are looking to be immersed in the legal profession and begin building invaluable relationships, networks and skills that will last throughout your career.

During your clerkship, you'll undertake rotations in two practice groups during our Summer 1 and Autumn intakes.



You will work across a range of our energetic practice areas including Corporate & Commercial, Funds & Financial Servies, Hamilton Locke Private, IP & Technology, Litigation, New Energy, Planning & Environment, Real Estate, Tax and Workplace & Employment.

In each of your rotations, you'll be allocated a supervising partner, coach and buddy, enabling you to work in a supportive and collaborative environment which will allow you to develop your legal skills.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience working on real legal matters, which may include attending court hearings, participating in client meetings, conducting legal research, and contributing to complex legal transactions.

Upon completion of the Clerkship Program, you may be offered the opportunity to continue your Hamilton Locke journey as a Graduate.
