About the role
Lakeview Private Hospital Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated and energetic Pharmacist to join our team on a part-time basis three days per week. Based in Norwest, NSW 2153, this role offers a wonderful opportunity to provide quality pharmaceutical care to our diverse community of patients whilst maintaining a healthy work-life balance. As part of a multi Pharmacist team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, whilst contributing to the overall health and wellbeing of our patients.

What you'll be doing
- Completing Clinical Ward Rounds to accurately access patients requirements
- Dispensing medications accurately and safely, ensuring all prescriptions are verified and prepared according to legal requirements and best practice standards
- Providing expert pharmaceutical advice to patients regarding medication use, potential side effects, interactions and storage
- Conducting thorough patient consultations to understand medical histories, current medications and health concerns
- Maintaining comprehensive and accurate patient medication records
- Collaborating with doctors and healthcare professionals to optimise patient medication regimens
- Managing inventory, ordering stock and ensuring the pharmacy is well-stocked with medications and health products
- Performing quality assurance checks to maintain compliance with therapeutic goods administration (TGA) regulations
- Providing health promotion and disease prevention advice to patients
- Staying current with pharmaceutical developments,
new medications and clinical practice guidelines
- Supporting the pharmacy team and contributing to a professional, welcoming environment
What we're looking for
- Tertiary qualification in Pharmacy (Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Current registration with AHPRA and in good standing
- Proven experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital, community or retail pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, interactions, contraindications and clinical applications
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to patients
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and computer systems (FRED)
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and adherence to professional codes of conduct
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all pharmaceutical work
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting
- Current knowledge of PBS (Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme) requirements and compliance
- Preferred experience with medication therapy management or health screening programs
