Role Summary Grade 3, advanced practice‑credentialed physiotherapist, permanent part‑time (0.6EFT), based at Werribee Mercy Hospital. Seven‑day service roster including weekends, public holidays and evening or day shifts as required. Provide evidence‑based clinical care, in both a primary and secondary contact capacity, across the Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit.
Responsibilities - Deliver high‑quality patient care in primary and secondary contact capacities within the Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit.
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior physiotherapists and students.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service outcomes.
- Maintain a supportive and team-oriented physiotherapy team environment.
Qualifications & Experience - Recognised degree in Physiotherapy and current full physiotherapy AHPRA registration.
- Credentialed as an advanced practice ED physiotherapist.
- Strong, broad clinical skills and experience relevant for an ED/SSU setting, including both primary and secondary contact capacities.
- Willingness and flexibility to work in both primary and secondary contact capacities and with a multi‑disciplinary team approach.
- Availability and willingness to work a rotating roster that includes weekends, public holidays, and both day or evening shifts as required.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in staff supervision and improvement activities.
- Excellent clinical, time‑management, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem‑solve.
- Compassionate, flexible, and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
- Foster friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Current Police Check and Working with Children Check in process or obtained.
- Full and unlimited AHPRA Physiotherapy registration.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and adherence to vaccination requirements consistent with public health orders.
