Position Available: As a key member of the Solid Home Solutions team, you will work directly alongside our Site Supervisor to deliver high-quality plastering and gyprock services for residential and commercial properties across Alice Springs and remote NT communities. In this role, you’ll be responsible for surface preparation, installing and finishing plasterboard, applying plaster and render, and ensuring all wall and ceiling surfaces are smooth, durable, and finished to our exacting standards—on time and to specification.

Responsibilities: 1. Reading plans and specifications to determine material quantities, panel layouts, and installation methods. 2. Measuring, cutting, and fixing plasterboard sheets to walls and ceilings, including installing insulation and vapour barriers where required.

- Applying plaster, joint compounds, sealants, and finishing materials to create smooth, even surfaces ready for painting or decoration. 4. Installing corner beads, trims, and decorative features such as cornices, mouldings, and architectural plaster details. 5. Taping and wet-sanding joints and fastener points, then sanding finished areas to a high standard before handover.
- Inspecting completed work for quality and compliance, while maintaining a clean, safe worksite and following all health and safety procedures. Requirement: 1. AQF IV plus 1 year relevant full-time experience or 3 years relevant full-time experience.
