Etch Coatings is a leading industrial coatings business based in Wangara and part of the Simmonds Group. We are a registered applicator in powder coating and a preferred applicator in industrial coatings, delivering high-quality coating solutions across a range of industries.

We are seeking an experienced Powder Coating & Paint Factory Supervisor / Manager to lead our production team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our workshop.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with strong experience in industrial painting, powder coating and workshop management.

About the Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for planning and supervising daily workshop operations, leading production staff, maintaining quality standards and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise the workshop and production team.
- Coordinate daily production schedules and workflow.
- Oversee powder coating, industrial painting and surface preparation activities.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with customer specifications and quality standards.
- Manage staff performance, training and productivity.
- Maintain a protected and organized workplace.
- Coordinate loading, unloading and dispatch of completed work.
- Liaise with management regarding production planning and operational improvements.
- Assist with hands-on workshop duties where required.





About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Workshop Manager, Production Manager, Factory Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
- Strong experience in industrial painting and protective coatings.
- Experience with powder coating processes.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Trade qualification or significant industry experience.
- Ability to interpret and work to paint specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Forklift license or experience.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Paint testing experience (desirable).
- Sandblasting experience (desirable but not essential).
