Based in Shepparton Victoria, J. Furphy and Sons service a diverse range of industries such as food, dairy, brewing, chemical, petroleum, water, and oil and gas, many of which have varying acceptance criteria for surface finish, code requirements and operating conditions that require careful consideration during the design and fabrication phases of the project. We are currently recruiting for several qualified and experienced Pressure Welders to join our base at Shepparton VIC.
Successful candidates will need to undertake and possess:
- Perform complex mechanical installations per engineering direction.
- Read and comprehend construction drawings and specifications.
- Lay out and install piping, equipment,
and other mechanical systems in compliance with construction drawings and specifications.
- Weld and repair pressure vessels and tanks to relevant standards.
Qualification and Skills:
- Certificate III in Engineering-Fabrication Trade or equivalent
- Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience
