Principal Procurement Lead – Capital - South Sydney location

? Permanent role with a large infrastructure organisation.

? South Sydney location, 3 days on site and 2 days from home.

? Salary: $180,000 to $200,000 base plus STI of 10%.

About the role The Principal Procurement Lead owns the sourcing to contract process and provides leadership, strategic direction, and commercial advice in the execution of sourcing events. It also provides commercial support and advice in the prevention of escalation or dispute post award.

Your responsibilities will include

- Developing and executing the category sourcing plan and risk management strategy.
- Designing sourcing strategies that engage the right segments of the market (domestic and offshore), to meet the business’s requirements.
- Leading strategic negotiations to achieve optimal cost, surety of supply, adequate management of threats and capitalisation on opportunities.
- Conducting market intelligence activities and advising the business in the development of suppliers to de-risk the suppliers’ base by building local capability.

About the Person

- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Business, Commerce, Finance, Engineering).
- Strong strategic sourcing experience, ideally within major projects across mining / construction.
- Effective leadership and communication skills.




- Sound planning and time management skills with a valuable understanding of commercial frameworks.
