- Internal expression of interest – Principal Project Officer
- Temporary 12 month full-time opportunity
- Office location upon negotiation across NSW, hybrid working supported
- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $148,339 to 163,480 + super
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile priority project, within a multi-disciplinary team.
The roles will support the development of the Nature Strategy and its implementation, a NSW Government commitment and DCCEEW strategic priority. The roles cover a range of functions including policy development, implementation planning, program management, MERI, project coordination, governance, and communications and engagement.
To be successful in this role you:
- will take initiative and actively contribute your skills and expertise to a multi-disciplinary team
- are a team player, working across various teams and business areas, and create effective working relationships
- can adapt and flex to accommodate moving priorities and issues, and
- enjoy working on complex problems and can prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
About you:
You should be familiar with policy development and ideally have experience in design and/or operational translation of policy.
You will have
- Knowledge and experience of policy development, ideally in design and/or operational translation of policy.
- Experience in planning, implementing and managing complex projects to achieve priority objectives.
- Ability to provide high-quality timely advice on complex issues,
including preparing policy positions, strategy, proposals, and/or program documents
- Strength in building relationships and working with a range of stakeholders to influence delivery and outcomes
