We’re on the hunt for an SEO & GEO Assistant or Executive to join our performance squad, reporting directly to our SEO & GEO Lead.

This one’s for someone who’s already had a year or two learning the basics about SEO (and now GEO), and is itching to take the next step, and also to do it for some of Australia’s most exciting brands.

You’ll be the engine room of our SEO & GEO practice, such as running audits, executing on-page work, learning the new art of growing brand visibility across LLMs, and even working with other teams, such as our earned media team to help grow inbound links from digital PR work.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

40% Execution & On-Page (where you’ll spend most of your time)

- Assist in creating recommendations for on-page optimisations across key client templates (meta, headings, schema, internal links etc).
- Support technical SEO audits and help work through the to-do lists that come out of them.
- Pull together keyword and prompt-intent research.
- Get hands on with content briefs for both SEO and GEO outcomes.
- Work closely with the paid search team to identify opportunities and help maintain our One Search approach.

25% GEO & Generative Search (the newer stuff)

- Help test, measure and improve our clients’ visibility across LLMs (ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, Gemini).
- Experiment with prompts, run benchmarks, and document what works (and what doesn’t).
- Stay close to what’s changing in generative search, and bring the team along with you.

15% Reporting & Insights (data with a story)

- Build out monthly client reports: clean, clear, and actually useful.
- Pull data from GA4, GSC, SEMrush, Ahrefs, UseHall, and Answer The Public, and turn it into something a human wants to read.
- Spot the trends and flag what’s interest with our SEO & GEO Lead.

10% Local Search (the local bits)





- Tracking and recommend local SEO & GEO opportunities for our clients, and assist with implementation if required
- Help keep structured data and local signals tidy and current.

10% Learning & Growth (this is part of the job, not a perk)

- Soak up everything from your Lead, the team, and our School Of Wired program.
- Bring questions, hot takes and curiosity, the more the better.
- Own your development plan. We’ll help, but we won’t drag you.

WHAT YOU NEED

- At least 1 year of hands‑on SEO experience (agency experience essential)
- A working knowledge of technical SEO basics: crawling, indexation, meta, schema, internal linking.
- Comfortable using tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, GA4 and GSC (you don’t need to be a wizard just yet).
- Curiosity around GEO and how generative search is reshaping the game, and bonus points for any hands‑on experience already.
- Robust attention to detail (the canonical tags and 301s of the world deserve respect).
- Organised, proactive, and not afraid to ask questions when something doesn’t make sense.
- Bonus points if you’ve worked with eCommerce or multi‑location clients.
- Double bonus points for any CRO or content strategy exposure.
