We currently have an chance for an enthusiastic and adaptable professional to fill the fulltime role of Warehouse Supervisor afternoon shift at our East Arm branch.
About the role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be required to manage a team of up to 15 people and organise, supervise and control all work activity relating to order picking, replenishment, assembly, consolidation & loading of products is conducted accurately and product integrity is maintained. This is a physical position with some heavy lifting.
Duties:
- Ensure accurate picking, packing & consolidation of deliveries for next day
- Coach, mentor and execute performance management as required
- Control and reduce warehouse expenses by minimising damages, wastage and overtime
- Liaise with the Operations Manager regarding labour requirements and work process changes
- Promote safe working procedures and ensure policies are implemented and adhered to
- Lead from the front working as part of your team
- Maintain truck run schedules and despatched truck registers
Skills and Experience:
- Current Forklift licence (Essential)
- MR Truck Licence (Essential)
- Proven experience in warehousing and distribution management and inventory control
- Exceptional time management and communication skills
- Computer literacy, including the ability to quickly learn internal systems
- Experience managing & leading a team in a fast paced environment
- An understanding of HACCP, WHS and HR
- Able to provide leadership and motivation to a team
