The Organisation:

This incredible Commercial Finance Manager (Business Support Manager) role will provide you with an opportunity to work for a large-scale energy generation asset producing reliable energy. The business has a focus on long-term operational excellence and commercial performance.

This will be a residential-based role at Millmerran, west of Toowoomba. The Position:

Leading a team of three and partnering closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Procurement and Corporate Finance, you will provide the commercial insight required to support budgeting, forecasting, planned outages, contract performance and executive decision making.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead the Business Support function across the site
- Manage and develop three direct reports across Procurement/contracts, warehousing, and Office Management.
- Partner with Engineering and Maintenance on outage planning and cost forecasting




- Deliver annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and long-term business planning
- Analyse operational costs, identify trends and provide commercial recommendations
- Support executive-level reporting and financial performance analysis
- Monitor major operational contracts and provide commercial performance insights
- Partner with Brisbane-based Finance and FP&A; teams to improve forecasting accuracy
- Drive continuous improvement across commercial processes and governance
- Provide commercial leadership during a critical period of asset investment and maintenance

Your Profile:

You are an experienced commercial finance professional who enjoys partnering with operational stakeholders and influencing decision-making within complex, asset-intensive environments.

You will bring:

- Proven Finance Manager, Commercial Finance, FP&A; or Project Accounting experience
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial management capability
- Experience within heavy industry, energy, mining, maintenance, large manufacturing or other asset-intensive sectors
- Commercial acumen with the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
- Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to executive leadership
- CA or CPA qualification
- A collaborative leadership style combined with individual accountability

Experience supporting major capital assets, shutdowns or planned outages will be highly regarded.
