About the Position

The City of Bayswater Community Safety team has a great prospect for an enthusiastic individual to join us as a permanent full time Community Ranger.

The Community Ranger plays a valuable role in enforcement and community education and is responsible for supporting and developing the City’s Ranger programs and activities. This position is integral to providing a high level of customer service as they act as first point of contact for the community.

This position involves being on patrol and undertaking inspections/investigations including but not limited to animals, parking, litter, firebreaks and abandoned vehicles. You will need to be able to respond to and record actions arising from inspections and maintain accurate records and prepare routine reports. You will be required to work independently whilst on patrol as well as contribute to working in a positive team environment.

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring enthusiasm,



and a passion and commitment to providing outstanding customer service, the ability to deal with challenging situations which can be physically demanding and proven conflict and negotiation skills. Applicants should hold a Certificate in Municipal Law Enforcement A & B or Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills (ROCS) 1 & 2 and a current First Aid Qualification, which is essential to this role.

Although not essential, it is beneficial to have Certificate IV Local Government (Regulatory Services) or working towards, working knowledge of PinForce or equivalent systems and Dog and Cat Management and Control.

This position will include work after hours and weekend shifts on a rotating roster.
