Pilbara Resource Group (PRG) is seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to join our Perth team and lead the coordination of procurement, supplier management and inbound logistics across our mining operations.

This is an exciting chance to play a key role in centralising procurement processes, improving supply chain performance and supporting the continued growth of our business. Initially offered as an interim position, this role has the opportunity to grow as the procurement function continues to evolve.

About the Role

Based in Perth, and reporting to the Asset Manager (with a dotted line to Finance), you will be responsible for leading procurement governance, supplier performance, inbound logistics and procurement systems to ensure materials and equipment are delivered to site safely, efficiently and on time.

Working closely with Operations, Logistics, Finance, Projects and key suppliers, you will drive continuous improvement across the procurement function while supporting business growth and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for operational requirements.

- Coordinate inbound logistics and transport to mine sites.

- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.

- Manage supplier performance and contract governance.

- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and standards.

- Improve procurement systems, reporting and data integrity.

- Optimise procurement processes and logistics coordination.

- Monitor inventory availability and minimise supply disruptions.

- Work collaboratively with Operations, Finance and Logistics teams.





- Contribute to the development of scalable procurement systems and processes.

About You

You will bring

- Previous experience in a Procurement, Purchasing or Supply Chain role within the mining, resources or heavy industry sector.

- Experience coordinating procurement and logistics for remote operations.

- Strong commercial acumen and supplier negotiation skills.

- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management abilities.

- A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement.

- Strong systems skills with a high level of attention to detail.

- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Essential

- Experience in Procurement, Purchasing or Supply Chain.

Desirable

- Qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline.

- CIPS qualification (or working towards).

- Experience in a centralised procurement environment.
