Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage all day-to-day manufacturing operations.

- Develop and oversee production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.

- Manage Production Supervisors, sewing machinists, and production staff.

- Monitor production KPIs, labour efficiency, quality, waste, and on-time delivery.

- Ensure Sherrin's handcrafted footballs meet strict quality and workmanship standards.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce costs, and minimise waste.

- Manage staffing levels, recruitment, training, and performance reviews.

- Coordinate with procurement, warehousing, sales, and logistics to ensure smooth production flow.

- Oversee inventory levels, raw materials, and production planning.

- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), quality systems, and company policies.

- Prepare production reports, forecasts, budgets, and operational metrics for senior management.





- Identify process improvements and implement Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Key Skills & Experience

- Proven experience as a Production Manager within a manufacturing setting.

- Strong leadership experience managing supervisors and large production teams.

- Experience with production planning, scheduling, and resource management.

- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma principles.

- Strong understanding of quality assurance systems.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Experience managing budgets, KPIs, and production reporting.

- Proficient with ERP/MRP or production management systems.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high quality standards.
