About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our poultry processing operations at our Lockwood site.

This is a key operational leadership position responsible for the day-to-day performance of a production area, bringing together people leadership, production delivery, safety, food quality and continuous improvement.

Working closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Maintenance and HR, you will ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality and compliance.

You will be highly visible on the production floor, leading your team from the front, responding to operational challenges and identifying opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste and strengthen overall performance.

Key Responsibilities





- Lead daily production operations to achieve targets across safety, efficiency, yield, quality and output

- Plan and coordinate labour and resources to meet production requirements

- Monitor production performance, downtime and operational issues and take timely corrective action

- Lead, coach and develop employees, building capability, accountability and engagement across the team

- Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, HACCP, food safety and hygiene requirements

- Work closely with QA to address non-conformances, quality concerns and corrective actions

- Partner with Maintenance to minimise downtime and support equipment reliability and preventative maintenance

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency and reduce waste

- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OH&S; requirements

- Support risk assessments, incident investigations and implementation of preventative actions

- Monitor labour, materials and equipment utilisation to support cost-effective production

- Maintain accurate production, downtime, quality and performance records

- Build strong working relationships across Production, Quality, Maintenance, HR and other operational teams

About You

You are an experienced production leader who enjoys being close to the operation and understands how to balance people, safety, quality and performance in a fast-moving environment.

You will ideally bring

- Previous supervisory experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, poultry,



meat processing or another high-volume manufacturing environment

- Demonstrated experience leading and developing production teams

- Strong understanding of production KPIs, labour utilisation, efficiency, downtime, yield and waste

- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety and workplace safety requirements

- Strong people leadership and performance management capability
- A practical approach to problem solving and continuous improvement

- Ability to make sound decisions and manage changing production priorities

- Solid communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments

- Confidence using production data and reporting to identify and improve performance
- A hands-on leadership style with a strong focus on accountability, teamwork and results

Experience within poultry or food processing will be highly regarded; however, candidates with strong supervisory experience from other high-volume manufacturing or FMCG environments are encouraged to apply.
