Production Test Technician

We have a role for an experienced Production RF Test Technician to test and fault find a range of RF electronics assemblies through the Production Test department, and to satisfy the requirements at a high level of service and efficiency as well as being an active member of the test team.

Our client offers customers a diverse range of products and services, from completely integrated in-building and tunnel coverage systems, to the design, manufacture and distribution of low PIM base antennas, multi-coupling systems, unique mobile antenna designs, lightning management, cables and connectors, batteries, and solar powered site solutions.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

- Ensure the Production Manager is kept informed on the progress of work in the Production Test Department so they can report at the bi-weekly production meetings.

- Test, set up and fault-find as necessary products flowing through the Production Test Department.

- Collect and record test results and quality statistics as required.

- Review test instructions and procedures for current and new products as applicable.

- Assist with the introduction of new products into manufacturing.

- Assist with the design and construction of test jigs as required.

- Assist with the development of automatic test systems for new and existing products as required.

- Be an active member of process improvement projects. This may include evaluation and recommendation of recent test equipment, tools, processes, and procedures.

- Other Duties as nominated by your Supervisor/Manager,

In consultation with the Production Manager:

- To liaise with the team on work order requirements ensuring we improve our internal processes providing improved customer service.

- Provide labour hour feedback to the Production Manager to ensure efficient and accurate production planning.

Quality Accountability





All staff are authorised to take suitable action to prevent quality problems within their job area. Examples include but are not limited to:-

- Ensure existing product test procedures are correct and adequately documented.

- Ensure data integrity is maintained in ERP by providing accurate test time (labour) information.

- Ensure all production test equipment is appropriately calibrated and maintained.

Safety Responsibilities

- Adhere to company HS&E; policies, procedures and rules and follow safe work practices.

- Participate in team consultation meetings to discuss workplace safety in your area.

- Report any hazards as soon as you notice them and participate in risk assessments as requested. Assist in the identification of control measures to eliminate or minimize the risk of injury.

- Wear personal protective equipment as required for various tasks and report any worn out or defective equipment.

- Operate equipment and machinery with guards and safety controls operating at all times.

- Expected to participate in WHS activities such as inspections, investigations, and OHS meetings as required from time to time.
