About the Business

Since 1976, Nocelle Foods has been a leading supplier of quality food products across Australia. Based in Pooraka, we manufacture and package food products, including premium nuts, dried fruits, snacks, pasta sauces, specialty foods and private-label products. We maintain strict food safety, quality and hygiene standards across our production operations.

The Role

We are looking for a Production Worker with a current forklift licence to join our production team. This position will commence on a casual basis, with hours expected to be close to full time. There may be an opportunity to move to permanent full-time employment based on ongoing business needs, performance and mutual agreement.

The main responsibility of this role is handling and preparing raw materials before they are converted into finished products. You will receive, move, identify, weigh and stage materials for production while maintaining accurate records and following food safety and allergen-control requirements.

You will also operate a forklift, support production activities and help keep raw-material and production areas organised, clean and ready for use.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who works safely, follows instructions and takes responsibility for material accuracy and traceability.

Key Responsibilities

· Complete and document forklift and material-handling equipment pre-start checks before use · Confirm equipment is safe and fit for operation

· Complete operational checks while equipment is in use

· Stop using and report equipment that is damaged, faulty or unsafe

· Follow site procedures for isolating and reporting unsafe equipment

· Move raw materials, packaging and finished goods using a forklift

· Prepare,



weigh and stage raw materials for scheduled production runs

· Check material names, batch details, quantities and condition before use

· Maintain correct stock rotation, traceability and allergen segregation

· Complete material movements, production records and other required documentation

· Supply production areas with the correct materials at the required time

· Return unused materials to the correct storage location and update records

· Follow food safety, hygiene, GMP and workplace safety requirements

· Keep raw-material, storage and preparation areas clean and organised

· Report damaged stock, shortages, discrepancies and safety concerns promptly

· Support other production and warehouse tasks when required

What You Bring

· A current forklift licence and demonstrated protected forklift-operating experience · Experience completing forklift pre-start and operational checks, including identifying and reporting faults

· Ability to learn and follow site-specific equipment inspection and isolation procedures

· A clear understanding that unsafe or faulty equipment must not be operated

· Experience in food production, manufacturing, warehousing or a similar environment

· Experience handling, weighing or preparing raw materials is highly regarded

· Ability to accurately identify materials, quantities, batch numbers and labels

· Ability to follow production instructions, procedures and food safety controls

· Attention to safety, hygiene, accuracy and record keeping

· Ability to complete physical production work, including regular lifting and movement of materials,



with reasonable adjustments considered where required

· Ability to work effectively with production, warehouse and quality teams

· The right to work in Australia

Employment Checks

The preferred applicant will be required to: · Provide contact details for two work-related referees

· Complete a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, with any disclosed information assessed in relation to the requirements of the role

· Meet the hygiene and food safety requirements of a food-manufacturing workplace

Classification and Pay

This position is covered by the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Manufacturing Award 2020, MA000073. The successful applicant's classification and rate of pay will be based on the duties performed and their demonstrated skills, experience, training and level of responsibility under the award.

Applicable casual loading, penalties, overtime and allowances will be paid in line with the award.

What Matters in This Role

You are reliable, organised and comfortable working in a busy food-production environment. You check materials carefully, follow traceability and food safety requirements, and make sure production receives the correct materials at the correct time. You raise errors or shortages before they disrupt production.
