As our Sydney studio continues to grow, we're seeking an experienced Project Architect to help lead the delivery of significant projects while contributing to the ongoing development of our practice and design culture.
This is an opportunity to join a close-knit, highly team-oriented team where you'll enjoy genuine responsibility, direct client engagement and the ability to influence projects from concept through to completion.
The Role
We're looking for a motivated and design-focused Project Architect with approximately 7–10 years of professional experience who is ready to take ownership of projects and lead multidisciplinary consultant teams.
Working closely with our Directors and senior leadership, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality architectural outcomes across a diverse range of commercial, industrial, mixed-use and residential projects.
You'll balance design thinking with technical excellence, client management and project delivery while mentoring junior team members and helping shape our growing Sydney studio.
What you'll bring
- Registered Architect (NSW preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Approximately 7–10 years of post-graduate professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects through all phases, from concept design through documentation and construction.
- Strong design capability supported by excellent technical knowledge.
- Advanced Revit capability with sound BIM management skills.
- Excellent understanding of Australian building codes, planning controls and construction methodologies.
- Experience coordinating consultant teams and managing project programmes.
- Ability to confidently present ideas to clients, authorities and project stakeholders.
- Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills.
- A collaborative approach with the confidence to work independently when required.
- Experience mentoring graduate architects and supporting junior team members.
What you'll do
- Lead projects from concept through to completion.
- Manage client relationships and act as the primary architectural contact throughout project delivery.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams.
- Prepare and review design, planning and construction documentation.
- Lead consultant coordination meetings and client presentations.
- Maintain project quality, programme and commercial performance.
- Mentor graduates and contribute to the growth of our Sydney studio.
- Work collaboratively across our Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane studios.
What you'll gain
- A genuine leadership role within a growing national design practice.
- Opportunity to deliver award-quality architecture across multiple sectors.
- Direct access to Directors and involvement in strategic decision making.
- Exposure to projects from feasibility through construction.
- A supportive, collaborative and design-driven studio culture.
- Clear career progression with opportunities for future leadership.
- Competitive remuneration commensurate with experience.
Indicative Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 Superannuation, negotiable for exceptional candidates.
Our Sydney studio is located at Hickson Rd Millers Point, Sydney 2000 offering a collaborative working environment in one of Sydney's premier waterfront precincts and a short 5 min walk from Barangaroo Station.
If you're passionate about thoughtful architecture, enjoy working closely with clients and consultants, and want to play an important role in a growing national practice, we'd love to hear from you.
