SA Power Networks need a rock star Senior Project Manager to lead and coordinate a complex project involving geospatial systems, LiDAR, and physical/digital twin initiatives.
You will bring strong project management delivery capability, practical experience working across technical and business stakeholders, and sufficient domain understanding to lead projects involving spatial data, asset visualisation, and digital representation of physical infrastructure. The role will require confident engagement with stakeholders, clear governance, and strong risk management discipline.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned projects.
- Establish and manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Drive project progress across multiple workstreams.
- Ensure project outcomes are aligned to business objectives and operational needs.
- Build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage difficult, senior, and/or resistant stakeholders professionally and constructively.
- Facilitate workshops, steering discussions, and decision-making forums.
- Translate technical concepts into business-friendly language for broader stakeholder groups.
- Coordinate projects involving:
- Geospatial systems
- LiDAR data capture and processing
- Physical and digital twin initiatives
- Asset data integration and visualisation
- Potential links to enterprise platforms, field data, and operational systems
- Work effectively with SMEs, vendors, engineers, GIS specialists, and data teams.
- Apply structured project management practices, including stage-based governance.
- Maintain project reporting, status updates, RAID logs, and decision registers.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues using appropriate tools and controls.
- Support reporting through relevant project systems and governance forums where applicable
- Coordinate external vendors, consultants, and implementation partners where required.
- Monitor delivery performance, quality, and contractual obligations.
- Support procurement, evaluation, and onboarding activities as needed.

- Previous experience working with a large IT department like SA Power Networks and must have experience with:

Mechanics
- Contract role with long term extensions for the ideal candidate
- Hybrid working up to 2 days from home with 3 on site at 1 Richmond Road, Keswick (there is free onsite parking)
- Fortnightly pay with no admin fees
- PAYG or PTY contractors welcome!
