Period of employment / Hours:
Permanent full-time (76.00 hours per fortnight) day work (part time hours may be considered by negotiation)

Duties:
Primary Purpose / Focus : As a member of the Community Partners and Projects team, contribute to the growth and sustainability of Tasmania’s social and affordable housing system, and other identified community infrastructure projects, by contributing to the implementation of programs and initiatives that improve Tasmania’s social and affordable housing and community infrastructure portfolio.
The core objectives of the role are to:
- Contribute to the effective implementation of new and existing Commonwealth and State programs that grow and improve Tasmania’s community infrastructure portfolio, with a particular focus on the supply of new social and affordable housing.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and clients that contribute to the successful implementation of identified social and affordable housing programs and initiatives.
- Maintain effective business processes, procedures and information management that supports successful project delivery for the Community Partners and Projects team.
Skills and experience :
Selection criteria includes:
- High level project management skills (including contract development, administration, procurement and project delivery), preferably within the building and construction sector in Tasmania.
- High level strategic, conceptual, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills (cross financial, legislative and policy settings) including the ability to make sound recommendations and exercise discretion in an environment of change and uncertainty.
- High level communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, with a demonstrated ability to build productive relationships and engage effective with a range of internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex issues and achieve good project outcomes.

A full and current motor vehicle driver’s license
Tertiary qualifications or significant experience related to the following disciplines:
o Project management
o Urban and Regional Planning
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children (Vulnerable People) Registration (Employment type)
