The Role

This Fixed Term (12 months) Project Manager role will lead the successful delivery of ICT projects across the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to implementation and transition. The role is responsible for project governance, monitoring, and reporting, and for managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and quality to ensure projects achieve their intended outcomes.

Functional Accountabilities

- Lead and drive recognised and appropriate project management standards, principles and methodology (e.g. PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile) across all aspects of the project management life cycle
- Manage and control project scope, quality, schedule, budget and benefits
- Track and report on project risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions, and develop mitigation and resolution plans
- Ensure adherence to procurement practices with respect to goods and services to ensure IC projects are run efficiently and within budget tolerances
- Liaise with and coordinate internal support teams and/or third party service providers ensuring adherence to change control for consistent outcomes.

The Team

The Corporate Services Directorate provides advice, planning and support in the areas of Finance, Information Technology, Fleet, Property and Records Management. In addition, the directorate also provides oversight of the FRV commercial arm, Fire and Equipment Services (FES). The directorate is a key enabler for the operational and corporate units of the business to deliver on organisational objectives.

What you will need to Succeed

- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional / business experience
- Certification in a Project Management methodology (PRINCE2 or PMBOK) is highly desirable
- AIPM RegPM Certification is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in successfully managing end to end ICT projects
- Demonstrated understanding and application of waterfall or agile project methodologies and associated change and financial management disciplines




- Experience in preparing and presenting exceptional and professional project management reporting and briefing materials for senior management
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects at the same time
