Key Responsibilities

- Erect scaffolding and ladders, and place drop sheets to protect surrounding areas.
- Prepare surfaces by removing old paint or wallpaper, repairing cracks and holes, sanding, smoothing, and sealing surfaces.
- Select, mix, and prepare paints to achieve the required colours and finishes.
- Apply paint, varnish, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Hang wallpaper, match patterns accurately, and trim edges neatly.
- Clean and maintain painting tools, equipment, and work areas upon completion of each job.




- Repair windows and replace broken glass in wooden or metal frames when required.
- Install and repair wall and floor tiles when required.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.

Requirements

- Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or an equivalent qualification.
- At least one year of full-time work experience (or equivalent part time experience) as a Painter.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, tools, materials, and workplace safety procedures.
- Ability to prepare surfaces and apply a wide range of paint finishes to a high standard.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication and time management skills.

Work Location: In person (Tarneit, Victoria)

Work Authorisation: Applicants must have valid work authorisation to work in Australia.
