Katherine Women's Information and Legal Service (KWILS) is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our specialist women's legal service.

This is a unique opportunity to combine operations, people management, HR, finance, IT, communications and leadership in a values-driven organisation supporting women across the Big Rivers region of the Northern Territory.

Working closely with our CEO and Leadership Team, you'll ensure our legal and support teams have everything they need to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed services to women experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence, child protection matters and other legal issues.

What you'll be doing

- Leading the day-to-day operations of our organisation
- Managing HR processes including recruitment, onboarding and payroll support
- Coordinating finance administration, assets, IT and facilities
- Supporting organisational governance and reporting
- Overseeing communications, events and public engagement
- Supervising and mentoring our Operations and Communications Officer
- Contributing to strategic planning and continuous improvement

About you

You'll be an organised, solutions-focused leader who enjoys variety and takes pride in creating systems that help people succeed.

You'll bring experience in operational management, HR and finance administration, along with excellent communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Experience in the community, legal or not-for-profit sector is welcomed but not essential.

- Salary $115,339-$120,437 (dependent on experience) plus super
- 3% annual retention bonus
