Katherine District Hospital in Katherine, Northern Territory is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Medical Day Stay Unit on a contract basis. This is an urgent placement with a start date of 4 September 2026. You'll be working in a agile day-stay environment where your clinical expertise and specialist skills will make a direct difference to patient outcomes and care quality.
- Specialised chemotherapy administration in a day-stay setting
- Hands-on experience with central venous access devices (CVAD, TIVAD, PIVC)
- Contract role, ASAP start in Katherine's growing healthcare service
Preferred Requirements
- Current chemotherapy training and demonstrated competency in chemotherapy administration
- Proven competence with central venous access devices, including CVAD, TIVAD, and PIVC insertion and management
- Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills in a day-stay or ambulatory care setting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with current RN registration
