The Company

Established Brisbane-based contractor delivers commercial construction, fitout and refurbishment projects across Queensland.

The business operates across a diverse portfolio that includes commercial workplaces, government facilities, defence environments and technically demanding refurbishment projects. Projects are typically delivered within live or operational settings, requiring strong planning, stakeholder management and attention to detail.

With a healthy pipeline of secured and upcoming work, the company is looking to appoint a Project Manager to support its continued growth in Brisbane.

The Role

Reporting to the senior management team, you will take responsibility for the delivery of commercial fitout and refurbishment projects from pre-construction through to completion.

This position would suit either:

- A Project Manager looking to join a growing contractor with a strong project pipeline; or
- An experienced Contracts Administrator who is already operating beyond a traditional commercial remit and is ready to step into project management.

You will initially work closely with an experienced senior team while progressively taking full ownership of your projects.

Key responsibilities will include

- Managing projects from contract award through to practical completion
- Coordinating clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Managing project programmes, procurement and construction delivery
- Overseeing project costs, variations, claims and commercial performance
- Chairing project meetings and maintaining clear client communication
- Managing quality, safety, programme and subcontractor performance




- Identifying project risks and resolving delivery issues
- Supporting estimating and pre-construction activities where required
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably and to the required standard

About You You will have experience delivering commercial construction, fitout or refurbishment projects within a head contractor environment.

You may currently be working as a Contracts Administrator and looking for the opportunity to step into a Project Manager position, but you must already demonstrate genuine project leadership rather than simply wanting the title.

You will ideally bring

- Experience with a commercial builder, fitout contractor or refurbishment contractor
- Exposure to projects from procurement through to completion
- Strong subcontractor, consultant and client management skills
- Sound commercial knowledge, including variations, claims and cost reporting
- The ability to manage programmes and coordinate multiple project stakeholders
- Clear written and verbal communication
- A practical, accountable approach to project delivery
- Relevant construction management, building or trade qualifications

Experience delivering projects in live, occupied, government or defence environments would be advantageous but is not essential.

The Opportunity

The salary package is negotiable up to $170,000 + Super, depending on experience.
