Troocoo is recruiting on behalf of a Queensland Government agency for an experienced Project Manager to lead a significant portfolio management improvement initiative within a complex infrastructure environment. This role will focus on strengthening how infrastructure projects are planned, prioritised, governed and delivered. You will lead the development and implementation of improved project lifecycle, governance, assurance and portfolio prioritisation frameworks while coordinating delivery across multiple project streams.

About the role

Reporting to the Program Director, you will lead the Portfolio Management Improvement stream and support the successful delivery of broader transformation outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include

- Developing and managing integrated schedules, milestones, priorities, dependencies and critical-path activities
- Leading stakeholder engagement across project teams, business areas and executive groups
- Developing project lifecycle, governance, assurance and portfolio prioritisation frameworks
- Managing project risks, issues, interdependencies and change impacts
- Leading multidisciplinary teams through planning, delivery and evaluation
- Preparing project briefs, delivery plans, governance documentation, executive updates and status reports




- Embedding organisational change management and continuous improvement practices

About you

You will be an adaptable and delivery-focused Project Manager with strong experience working across complex, multi-stakeholder programs.

You will bring

- Experience within infrastructure, construction, building, asset management or another complex capital environment will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience managing integrated schedules, resources, risks, issues, dependencies and governance
- Experience leading business transformation or organisational change projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and executive communication skills
- The ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities
- Robust analytical, organisational and problem-solving capability
- Experience using Microsoft-based project and workflow management systems
- Knowledge of project management, change management and policy development frameworks
