An excellent opportunity has become available for an Associate or Senior Associate to join a highly regarded disputes practice specialising in complex property and leasing litigation.

Working with experienced practitioners, you will advise a diverse portfolio of institutional landlords, developers, property investors, asset managers and commercial enterprises on a broad range of contentious property matters. The practice acts on sophisticated disputes across the commercial property lifecycle and is recognised for delivering practical, commercially focused solutions.

This role offers genuine responsibility, regular client interaction and the opportunity to develop a market-leading specialisation within a collaborative and supportive team.

The Prospect

You will work across a varied caseload of property and commercial disputes, including:

- Commercial and retail leasing disputes.
- Enforcement of contractual and leasehold rights.
- Lease interpretation, termination and compliance issues.
- Claims involving possession, make good obligations and property damage.
- Disputes arising from acquisitions, disposals and development projects.
- Insolvency-related property matters.
- Franchise and commercial contract disputes.
- Court proceedings across State and Federal jurisdictions, together with tribunal matters where appropriate.
- Alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and negotiated settlements.

The role offers a strong mix of strategic advisory work, litigation and dispute resolution, allowing you to develop broad technical expertise while working closely with clients from the outset. About You To be successful, you will ideally have:

- Experience in commercial litigation with exposure to property-related disputes.




- Strong drafting skills across pleadings, affidavits, submissions and correspondence.
- Experience managing litigation files with an appropriate level of autonomy.
- Exposure to court appearances, interlocutory applications and dispute resolution processes.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
- Robust organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A collaborative approach and an interest in mentoring more junior lawyers.
