The Role

We're looking for a Purchasing Officer to join our Operations team in Scoresby.

This role plays a key part in keeping our manufacturing operation running efficiently. You'll manage the end-to-end purchasing process, ensuring materials, components and services are sourced, ordered and delivered in line with production requirements, quality standards and inventory targets.

Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you'll help drive supplier performance, coordinate purchase orders, expedite deliveries, resolve supply issues and maintain accurate purchasing and inventory data within our ERP system.

You'll also support the ongoing improvement of our procurement processes, working alongside Production, Warehousing, Finance and Operations to ensure purchasing activities align with quality, safety and commercial requirements.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Managing the end-to-end purchasing process for materials, components and services.

- Raising and managing purchase orders while monitoring supplier delivery performance.

- Expediting orders and resolving supply issues to minimise disruption to production.





- Maintaining accurate purchasing, inventory and supplier data within our ERP system. Experience with Business Central/Dynamics 365 will be highly regarded.

- Supporting inventory planning to ensure production has the materials it needs.

- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

- Monitoring supplier performance and supporting quality, HSEQ and ISO-aligned procurement processes.

- Working closely with Production, Warehousing and Finance to coordinate purchasing activities.

- Identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes, inventory management and operational efficiency.

About You

You'll have experience working in purchasing, procurement, inventory or supply chain within a manufacturing or production environment. You're organised, commercially aware and enjoy working in a quick-paced business where accuracy, communication and follow-through are critical.

You take ownership of your work, build strong relationships and enjoy solving problems before they become bigger issues. You're equally comfortable working independently or collaborating across multiple departments to keep production moving.

You'll also bring

- Experience managing the end-to-end purchasing process.





- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

- Confidence using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

- An understanding of inventory control, production planning and purchasing processes.

- Knowledge of manufacturing, warehousing and logistics practices.

- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem solving.

Highly Regarded The following experience would be advantageous but isn't essential:

- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

- Experience working within a manufacturing environment.

- Exposure to HSEQ, ISO or quality management systems.

- Understanding of engineering or manufactured products.

This is a full-time position based in Scoresby, Victoria.
