About The Role

Working as a Residential Support Worker at our service in Grovedale, you will empower the people we support to live independently and participate in the community. Providing hands on support while ensuring a protected, inclusive and empowering environment, you will become an integral part of their care team. We currently have one permanent part time position available.

Duties Will Include

Assisting with personal care, daily living tasks and household duties.Supporting community participation, social engagement and recreational activities.Encouraging independence by helping build skills and achieve goals.Building meaningful relationships to provide person-centred support.Maintaining accurate and thorough records of activities, progress and incidents.

What you will bring to the role:

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to problem solveStrong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skillsAbility to accurately record case notes.Ability to work cohesively in a team environment.A passion for supporting people to live their best livesCurrent CPR, First Aid, Working with Children Check,



NDIS Check & completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain)Victorian drivers licence

At Gateways Support Services, we work on a fortnightly Week 1 / Week 2 roster, running Thursday to Wednesday. The roster for this vacancy are as follows:

Line A - 49 Hours

Week 1

Sat: 6:45am-3pm, Sun: 9am-3:30pm, Tues: 3pm-8pm, Wed: 6:30am-9:30am

Week 2

Thurs: 3pm-8pm, Fri: 2:45pm-9pm, Sun: 3pm-8pm, Tues: 3pm-8pm, Wed: 3pm-8pm
