Abou the role:
Reporting to the Quality and Safety Manager, the Quality and Safety Auditor is responsible for supporting regulatory compliance, conducting audits, facilitating investigations, and driving continuous improvement across MTU's Quality, Safety and Integrated Management Systems. The role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with CASA Part 145 requirements and applicable ISO standards.
Area of responsibility:
- Assist the Quality and Safety Manager to ensure operational compliance with company policies and procedures
- Co-facilitate audits by accreditation bodies and clients
- Execute activities in the audit schedule
- Carry out internal audits to ensure functioning QMS, SMS & ISO IMS
- Raise corrective and follow-up actions as necessary for non-conformance
- Carry out internal investigations and document findings where necessary
- Facilitate mandatory meetings and document meeting minutes
- Carry out HSE inductions of new staff and internal regulatory training
- Assist to process change management initiatives
- Amend documents in accordance with internal publication change request process
- Ensure compliance with CASA Part 145 regulations
- Ensure compliance with CASA Drug and management alcohol plan (DAMP) as the DAMP officer
- Ensure compliance with ISO IMS (9001, 45001 and 14001) requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years working in a Part 145 AMO (CASA, CAA (NZ), CAA (UK), EASA, FAA or CAAS) preferably in quality or safety role
- Experienced in carrying out internal audits
- Experienced in amending documents and co-developing internal procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- Lead Auditor (ISO19011 or equivalent)
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills, equivalent or relevant training
Must be willing and able to obtain the following:
- Human Factors
- CASA Part 145 Awareness Training
- Cert IV in WHS (BSB41419)
- Root Cause Analysis (MSS402084)
Desirable Qualifications:
- Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- ICAM Lead Investigator Training (BSBWHS515)
Candidates who do not currently hold all desirable qualifications but can demonstrate the ability to obtain them are encouraged to apply.
Skills
- Fluent English communication skills across all levels of staff seniority
- Working knowledge and practical experience with the Microsoft 365 suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, and MS Teams)
- High attention to detail
- Strong report writing and documentation skills.
Other Criteria:
- Only candidates who have legal rights to live and work in Australia will be considered
- Must be able to obtain and hold a current ASIC card during entire duration of employment
- Must be willing to travel occasionally to support business objectives
- Must be able to pass an initial employment drug and alcohol test and ongoing random drug and alcohol tests.
