About the Role

We are seeking Permanent Part-Time Baggage Handlers to join our team at Brisbane Airport, with a minimum commitment of 26 hours per week.

As a Baggage Handler, you will play a vital role in supporting airline operations by ensuring passenger baggage and cargo are handled safely, securely and efficiently. This role offers a fantastic pathway into the aviation industry, with opportunities to progress into Ramp Services and other airport operations roles.

Key Responsibilities

- Work as part of a dedicated team to achieve baggage turnaround targets for arriving and departing flights.
- Safely load and unload passenger baggage and cargo.
- Repetitively lift and handle items weighing up to 32kg.
- Follow all safety, security and operational procedures.
- Maintain a safe, secure and professional working environment at all times.
- Assist in delivering productive airline and airport operations.

Roster Requirements

This role operates on a 24/7 rotating roster and requires flexibility to work a range of shift patterns. To be considered for this role, applicants must be able to commit to and reliably work the roster requirements outlined below.

- Early morning shifts commencing from 3.00 am.
- Late finishes up to 1.00am.
- Weekdays, weekends and public holidays.




- Rotational shifts across a seven-day roster.
- Additional hours during peak operational periods.

About You To be successful in this role, you will:

- Hold full and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
- Be reliable, resilient and motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Be available to work a flexible 24/7 rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays (essential)
- Be physically capable of repetitively lifting up to 32kg throughout a shift, with scheduled breaks provided.
- Hold a current Australian Driver Licence (Provisional or Full Licence) and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet operational deadlines.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, teamwork and customer service.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintain a professional presentation and high personal standards.
- Be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Be willing to complete a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening.
- Be willing to obtain a National Police Check and, where applicable, an International Police Check.

While previous aviation or ground handling experience would be highly regarded, it is not essential.
