Keep Connected Psychology and Therapies Centre, also known as KCPsych, is seeking an experienced and motivated Receptionist and Administration Officer to join our multidisciplinary practice team.
We are looking for someone who is professional, organised and genuinely passionate about providing outstanding service to clients, families, clinicians and external stakeholders.
The successful applicant will have previous experience or demonstrated transferable skills in areas such as:
- Medical, allied health or psychology reception
- General administration or office support
- Legal secretary or legal administration work
- Community services, disability, mental health or social services administration
- Social work, psychology, counselling or another relevant human services qualification or course
Applications from students undertaking a relevant degree are welcome; however, applicants must be able to demonstrate strong administrative, communication and organisational skills. Training will be provided in our practice systems, procedures and service processes. However, we are seeking someone who already has a sound foundation of professional skills and can learn quickly, show initiative and contribute positively to a busy team environment.
The role involves supporting the day-to-day administration of a busy, multi-site psychology and allied health practice. Duties will include:
- Responding to telephone and email enquiries
- Scheduling, confirming and managing client appointments
- Completing new client registrations and maintaining accurate records
- Maintaining practice management systems and client files
- Processing invoices, payments and billing
- Typing and formatting professional letters and reports
- Processing incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Communicating professionally with clients, clinicians and external stakeholders
- Completing general reception and administrative duties as required
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous administrative, reception, legal, health or community services experience
- A friendly, professional and confident telephone manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to prioritise competing tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office programs and other computer-based systems
- The ability to manage sensitive client information professionally and confidentially
- Initiative, reliability and a willingness to learn
- The ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to a team
