Role Description The Fleet Controller is a full-time, in office role based in Bundoora, VIC, responsible for coordinating daily transport operations across Lev Logistics’ fleet. This role involves scheduling and dispatching trucks, allocating drivers and equipment, and monitoring container movements using GPS and freight management systems. The Fleet Controller will liaise with clients, drivers, and internal teams to provide accurate updates, manage delays, and implement contingency plans when issues arise. Duties include maintaining transport records, optimizing route efficiency, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements,



and supporting the management of dangerous goods and wharf runs. The role also requires actively contributing to continuous improvement in communication, reliability, and operational performance.

Qualifications

- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret fleet data, monitor performance metrics, and make informed operational decisions.
- Understanding of Finance related to transport cost control, basic budgeting, and fleet efficiency considerations.
- Excellent Communication skills for clear coordination with drivers, clients, and internal stakeholders, including timely issue resolution.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management to oversee container movements, wharf operations, and alignment with client logistics needs.
- Operations Management skills to plan schedules, allocate resources, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Experience in transport, logistics, or freight operations, ideally within container transport or wharf-related services.
- Proficiency with fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and standard office applications.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications in logistics, transport, business, or a related field are advantageous.
- Knowledge of local Melbourne and Victorian transport routes and regulations is beneficial.
