Hawthorne Clinic is a private billing family owned practice that has been proudly AGPAL accredited since 2000 and has been providing trusted medical care to the inner eastern suburbs of Brisbane since 1925.
The practice comprises of well equipped treatment rooms and is fully computerised with an experienced reception support team.
Hawthorne Clinic is well positioned in the busy Hawthorne Medical Centre, which includes pathology, pharmacy, dental and physiotherapy on site.
About the role The daily duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
- performing general practice clinical duties,
- triage,
- immunisations,
- wound management,
- chronic disease management,
- ECG's,
- collection of pathology samples
- assisting Doctors with clinical procedures
- maintaining clinical documentation.
This part-time role (26hrs/week, or 52hr/fortnight) as Practice Nurse at Hawthorne Clinic will include several regular weekly shifts, as well as extra shifts to cover for leave and busy periods. These hours are negotiable for the right candidate.
This role reports to the Practice Manager.

Skills and experience
- The successful applicant will have a suitable level of clinical experience to enable them to, at times, operate as the sole Nurse to assist the duty Doctors.
- AHPRA nursing registration is required.
- Past GP practice experience preferred but not essential.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required.
