Residential Gardens is located in Rooty Hill and since opening in 1993, the facility has been providing a high quality of care, hospitality, accommodation and services to its residents. We aim to continually provide high quality consumer directed care and service in a professional and courteous manner based on individual choices.
Residential Gardens is a Spanish specific aged care facility, which offers ageing in place accommodation including dementia care and respite care.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a committed Registered Nurse with a passion for the care of elderly residents and a desire to deliver a high standard of clinical care within a fast paced and often challenging environment. You must have solid experience in all aspects of aged care such as dementia experience, assessments, aged care standards, palliative care with the ability and willingness to work a rotating roster.
About the position
Our Registered Nurses provide a high standard of clinical care to residents. They are responsible for leading, guiding and supervising the AIN’s and Support staff for an allocated shift.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 2 years’ RN experience working in Aged Care
- Current AHPRA Nursing registration
- Experience with Dementia and Palliative care, Assessments and Aged Care Standards.
- Wound care, chronic disease plan management and pain management
- Proven track record in delivering quality clinical care
- Good computer skills
- Training knowledge of new standards and record of accreditation history
- Experience in supervising a care team, providing explicit direction and allocation of duties.
- The ability to work in a team and have a resilient attitude in a changing and dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and strong relationship management skills.
- Strong team leadership and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management skills
- Willing to work overtime.
- Act as a role model amongst peers and care team
- Available to work morning, afternoon and overnight shifts.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and professionally.
- Current police record check
