As the Operations Team Member 2IC, your focus is to perform accurate and efficient inbound and outbound warehouse activities within the Home Delivery Centre (HDC) to support HDC outcomes and deliver to our end‑user customers. This is a hands‑on role that requires experience in a similar environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and act as an escalation point for the Operations team, ensuring team member safety, capability and performance is supported through work instruction, coaching, training and regular feedback.
- Deliver accurate and efficient delivery centre activities, ensuring the right stock is received, picked and delivered to the right place at the right time through accurate goods receipt from suppliers, store replenishment, customer pick‑up and delivery, records and invoice management, data integrity, and cyclical stocktakes and ad‑hoc cycle counts.
- Ensure accurate labelling and dispatch of customer deliveries to Home Delivery carriers.
- Comply with compliance and policy requirements, with particular emphasis on site standards, safe work practices and incident reporting.
- Comply with MHE safe operating procedures to maintain product integrity and workplace safety.
- Work collaboratively as part of the HDC team to deliver a positive experience for the customer.
- Achieve effective storage utilisation, warehouse picking and put‑away accuracy by effective use of Warehouse Management Systems and other enabling tools and resources.
- Monitor supplier chain of responsibility and raise non‑compliance in line with required standards.
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge through available online platforms and active participation in other development opportunities.
- Other tasks deemed suitable based on knowledge and experience,
as required by the HDC Operations Team Leader or HDC Manager.
This role operates Thursday to Monday roster 2pm to 10pm.
Qualifications
Key qualifications and attributes:
- A minimum education level of Year 12 and/or relevant operational warehouse experience is required.
- At least 3 years warehouse experience.
- Understanding of Warehouse Management Systems.
- Familiar with Kazan and Lean methodologies.
- MHE licences – LF (High reach) and LO (Stock picker).
- Thursday to Monday roster 2pm to 10pm, required.
