The opportunity & how you will make an impact.

We have an exciting new prospect for a Senior Consultant to join our growing Heritage team in our Brisbane office! Leveraging your technical expertise and proven skills, you'll support our clients by offering sound heritage and strategic advice and insights. As a trusted member of our Heritage team, you will be providing advice to clients on a range of projects including conservation management plans, heritage impact statements, interpretation plans, archival recording, archaeological reporting and/orarchitectural conservation documentation.

As a Senior Heritage Consultant, every day is different,

You will:

- Provide practical advice on a strategic level on a range of built heritage and/or archaeology projects that have historical and Aboriginal cultural heritage significance.
- Work across a wide range of applications and assist in developing proposals, tenders & submissions for potential projects.
- Assist with the preparation of reports including heritage studies, due diligence assessments, management plans and impact assessments.
- Travel to locations for field work, including for surveys, stakeholder engagement and excavations.
- Respond quickly and communicate in a clear, concise and transparent manner to internal and external clients.
- Work alongside other professionals on a range of multi-disciplinary projects, working to specification, to deadlines, within budget and with a commercial outcome.
- Promote the firm and its services to create business opportunities.
- Comply with all workplace health safety (WHS) and wellbeing (WHS) policies and procedures, reporting any identified hazards, near misses, injuries and incidents.

About you.

We know everyone is different and bring different strengths and passions with them. In addition to yours, we're keen to connect with you if you bring the following experiences and attributes:

- Holds a tertiary qualification in Cultural Heritage, Archaeology, Anthropology, Architecture or related discipline.
- Approximately 3 - 5 + years of relevant experience in Heritage advisory.
- Has a proficient understanding of and ability to apply statutory heritage legislation, and principles of the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act (2003) and the Queensland Heritage Act 1992 to resolve and advise on projects.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake heritage research utilising multiple sources and methodologies to present accurate preliminary assessment of findings.
- Experience in engagement with First Nations groups preferable.
- Demonstrated commercial discipline and consistency through compliance with company policy and process and performance expectations.
- Challenges constructively and offers alternative thinking and ideas which add value to the outcome.
