About the role

As a Remote Area Nurse, you'll provide a mix of primary healthcare, emergency care and chronic disease management within remote Aboriginal communities. You'll work closely with Aboriginal Health Practitioners and multidisciplinary teams, delivering culturally protected healthcare while working autonomously in a rewarding and diverse clinical environment.

What we're looking for

Essential

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse




- Minimum 2 years' post-registration nursing experience within a rural / remote community
- Strong emergency, acute or primary healthcare experience
- Ability to work confidently and independently
- Current Australian Driver's Licence

Highly desirable – Access to our highest paying contracts

Candidates with the following qualifications are highly sought after and may be eligible for a broader range of contracts and higher rates of pay:

- REC (Remote Emergency Care)
- MEC (Medical Emergency Care)
- Pharmacotherapeutics (PHARMACO) completed, currently studying or already booked
- 4WD training and experience for remote community driving

Compliance requirements

Successful applicants will be required to provide:

- Current AHPRA Registration
- National Police Check (Dated within the past 6 months)
- Working With Children Check (Dated within the past 6 months)
- Immunisation evidence
- Relevant mandatory training
