Sr Capital Planning Manager, International Capital Management
Supports capital planning and operations for new launches and retrofits, expansions and initiatives across all APAC network. Manages capital plans, approvals, analytics, process improvement and data. Works across functional teams to deliver fulfillment network capacity on time and within budget, providing governance oversight and driving data-driven improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Build the capital plan for APAC, including cost estimating and benchmarking for recent launches (MHE, real estate, construction).
- Lead or support approvals for Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs), working with 10+ stakeholders to develop approvals.
- Provide governance oversight of capital invested to ensure adherence to scope, spending and transaction policy; analyze change orders, supplemental funding drivers and root causes to improve the planning process.
- Work with internal Amazon teams to deliver network capacity on time, track critical inputs for active funding requests, and maintain standard item lists.
- Schedule and moderate weekly standing meetings with internal teams, coordinate information flow, and track deliverables.
- Analyze data with SQL and other analytics tools to drive insights and support decision-making.
- Govern capital funding post-approval (cost control) against plan, identify root causes for changes and supplemental requests.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering, project management,
operations, logistics, supply chain or related field.
- Experience in operations, supply chain, transportation, project management or management consulting.
- Experience handling multiple competing priorities and complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities.
- Master’s degree or above in finance, accounting, business, economics, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics or related quantitative field.
- Experience with financial analysis and modeling.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- 4+ years leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution through launch readiness and go-live phases; experience in Amazon RME, fulfillment operations or automation deployment environments.
