SCHADS Award Level 1–3 | approx. $36–$49 per hour casual + weekend/public holiday penalties + 12% super
About us
Hope Bridge Disability Support is a local NDIS provider in Alice Springs helping people with disability live independently and stay connected to their community. We deliver person-centred support across daily living, community access and social participation.
About the role
We're looking for caring, reliable Disability Support Workers to join our growing team on a casual basis, with a genuine pathway to permanent part-time for the right people. Shifts include weekdays, weekends and some sleepovers, with flexible rostering around your availability.
Day to day, you will:
- Support participants with personal care, meals and daily living tasks
- Help participants get out into the community – appointments, shopping, activities and social events
- Support skill-building and independence in line with each participant's NDIS goals
- Keep clear, accurate shift notes and report incidents promptly
- Work respectfully with participants' families, carers and other providers
What you'll need (essential)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to apply through SAFE NT before starting)
- Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card), or willingness to obtain – required for work with participants under 18
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR certificates
- Completion of the free NDIS Worker Orientation Module ('Quality, Safety and You')
- Current NT driver's licence and a reliable, insured vehicle
- The right to work in Australia
- A genuine passion for supporting people with disability, with patience, empathy and reliability
What will set you apart (desirable)
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or similar
- Experience in disability, aged care or community services
- Manual handling and medication administration training
- Experience working alongside Aboriginal communities in Central Australia, or strong cultural awareness
