Tennant Mines (TCMG) is an emerging Australian gold producer developing and operating high-quality gold assets in the Northern Territory. With major growth underway, we're looking for an experienced Senior Safety Advisor to lead safety across key capital projects at our Nobles Gold Mine.

Current projects include the construction of a new solar farm and installation of a new fixed crushing plant, with further expansion projects planned to support growth of our processing operations.

Reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with the Operations HSE team, you'll be the go-to safety professional for all project activities on site. Your focus will be ensuring major construction and expansion works are delivered safely, on schedule, and in line with legislative and company requirements.

This is not a traditional operational safety role. You'll be embedded within the project team, working alongside contractors and site personnel to drive a robust safety culture in a fast-paced, multi-contractor construction environment where your influence and leadership will make a real impact.

What You'll Be Doing

Provide day-to-day safety advice and support to the project team and contractors on site.

- Facilitation with Operations HSE to maintain ongoing compliance between project activities and existing site safety management systems and day to day activities on the operating mine site.

- Manage and review contractor mobilisation documentation, such as HSE management plans, SWMs etc

- Lead incident investigations and injury management for project personnel, including early intervention, liaison with treating providers, and supporting safe and timely return-to-work outcomes.

- Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and compliance checks against site HSE requirements and legislation.





- Facilitate and support risk assessments (JSA/SWMS reviews, HAZID/HAZOP participation) for project and construction activities.

- Monitor contractor safety performance and compliance with TCMG safety management systems and contractual HSE requirements.

- Maintain project safety documentation, registers, and statistics (e.g. TRIFR, LTIFR, leading and lagging indicators).

What we're looking for

Essential:

- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or higher) or degree in Work Health & Safety or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Safety Advisor, Safety Officer, or similar role within construction, mining, or resources projects.

- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, Major Hazard Facility requirements, and safety management systems.

- Experience conducting incident investigations, risk assessments, safety audits, and managing injury/return-to-work processes.

- Experience coordinating contractor mobilisation and verifying HSE compliance documentation.

- Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills across all levels of a project team.

- Incident investigation certification (e.g. ICAM), SWMS, and JSAs.

- Valid driver's licence and relevant site safety certifications/cards (e.g. Construction Induction / White Card).

Preferred:

- Experience in remote or regional resources / construction projects.

- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
