Release Train Engineer (Contract)

12-Month Initial Contract

Sydney or Melbourne | Hybrid Working Arrangement An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join a large-scale enterprise technology transformation within a complex and highly regulated environment.

Working across multiple Agile delivery teams, you will play a critical leadership role in driving program delivery, facilitating planning activities, managing dependencies and risks, and ensuring teams remain aligned to strategic objectives. This role will suit a seasoned Agile delivery professional who thrives in large organisations and enjoys working across complex stakeholder environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead delivery across an Agile Release Train (ART), ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and delivery outcomes.
- Facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning / Big Room Planning activities.
- Coach and mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners and delivery teams in Agile and Lean practices.
- Identify, manage and resolve cross-team dependencies, impediments and risks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across teams and delivery processes.
- Monitor progress against objectives and provide transparency to stakeholders.
- Collaborate across technology, business and operational teams to support successful program outcomes.
- Promote a culture of accountability,



innovation and continuous learning.

About You To be successful, you will bring:

- Extensive experience as a Release Train Engineer, Senior Agile Delivery Lead or related Agile leadership role.
- A strong background delivering large-scale transformation programs within complex enterprise environments.
- Deep understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and frameworks, ideally SAFe.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating PI Planning and coordinating multiple Agile teams.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to manage competing priorities and dependencies.
- Experience driving continuous improvement and delivery excellence across programs.

Highly Regarded

- SAFe certifications such as RTE, Leading SAFe, SAFe Scrum Master or similar.
- Experience delivering within government, regulatory or highly governed environments.
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Project Management or a related discipline.
