Extensions Unlimited is seeking a Sales Estimator to join our growing team on a full-time basis at our Dandenong, VIC location. This is a pivotal role that bridges our sales and construction teams. As a Sales Estimator, you will be instrumental in assisting converting the Sales Designers client enquiries into profitable projects by providing accurate, competitive quotes and specifications whilst building strong in-house team relationships.

Your work will directly impact our revenue, client satisfaction and project success, making this a strategically important position within our organisation. Responsibilities

Form a relationship with designers and team members.

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and specifications for extension projects, including materials, labour and associated expenses.

Develop itemised quotations that are competitive yet profitable, ensuring margin targets are met.

Liaise with designers, engineers and team members to clarify requirements, provide technical advice and address enquiries regarding quotes.

Maintain detailed records of all estimates, quotes and client interactions in company systems.

Collaborate with the construction team to understand project complexities, build methods and cost drivers.





Provide feedback to the sales and construction teams on market trends, client preferences and competitive activity.

Follow up with designers post-quote to assist with the progress of any opportunities towards project signing. Qualifications

Preferably experience as a Sales Estimator, Carpenter or Quantity Surveyor, in the domestic building industry within residential extensions area.

Required

Skills

Knowledge of domestic construction methods and materials.

Some proficiency in estimating preferred with the ability to quickly learn new basic estimating software systems (training provided).

Good numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with sub-contractors, clients and internal teams.

Basic understanding of profit margins, pricing strategy and the commercial drivers of a construction business an advantage.

Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites across the service area if required.
