LV Fitters (Mechanics) – Dugald River Project

2/2 Roster | FIFO | Full Time Permanent

Redpath Mining is seeking experienced and motivated LV Fitters (Mechanics) to join our maintenance team at the Dugald River Project in Cloncurry, Queensland. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of light vehicle and ancillary underground mining equipment to ensure maximum fleet availability and reliability.

Responsibilities

- Perform scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and breakdown repairs on light vehicles, with the ability to assist on heavy equipment and fixed plant when required.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs, component replacements, and maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability and availability.
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment are maintained in compliance with site procedures, legislative requirements, and safety standards.
- Accurately complete maintenance documentation, including work orders, parts usage records, and inspection reports.
- Actively participate in pre-starts, toolbox meetings, safety initiatives, and incident investigations as required.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment, including conducting pre-start checks and promptly reporting hazards, incidents, and near misses.

Qualifications

- Trade qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter/Mechanic with experience maintaining light vehicle fleets,



including Toyota and Isuzu vehicles.
- Strong fault‑finding, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills, with auto‑electrical knowledge highly regarded.
- Current Manual Driver's Licence and valid First Aid & CPR certifications.
- Well‑developed planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and complete maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
