Role Description

The Restoration Technician role at Resto Rescue is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Melbourne Area. In this role, you will perform hands-on restoration work, including assessing property damage, executing water damage restoration tasks, and supporting makesafe activities to secure and stabilize affected structures. You will assist in mitigation efforts to prevent further damage, such as moisture control, debris removal, and environmental cleanup, including managing issues related to invasive species when required. Daily responsibilities include using restoration equipment, following safety and compliance procedures, documenting work performed,



and communicating clearly with team members, supervisors, and clients. You will be expected to respond to jobs promptly, maintain tools and vehicles, and contribute to a safe, efficient, and respectful work setting.

Qualifications

- Experience with water damage and water damage restoration, including assessment, drying, and repair techniques.
- Knowledge of mitigation practices to prevent further property damage and manage environmental risks, including invasive species where applicable.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and supervisors, and for accurate documentation of work performed.
- Ability to perform physical work safely, including lifting, bending, working in confined spaces, and operating restoration equipment.
- Understanding of basic construction, building materials, and safety standards; prior restoration or trades experience is beneficial.
- Reliability in punctuality and attendance, with capability to work flexible hours when required for emergency call-outs.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites across the Greater Melbourne Area.
- Relevant certifications in restoration, water damage, or safety (e.g., IICRC or similar) are an advantage but not mandatory.
