About the role

Spartan School World is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Store Staff to join our team at our new Lynbrook, VIC location. We are offering part-time and casual positions that offers flexibility whilst providing an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic retail environment. As Spartan retail store staff, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining our store operations to the highest standard.

Your contribution will directly impact customer satisfaction and help drive the success of our business.

What you'll be doing

1. Greeting and welcoming customers with a warm, professional demeanour
2. Assisting customers with product selection, providing knowledgeable advice and recommendations
3. Processing transactions accurately at the point of sale using our retail systems including cash handling and cashing up tills at end of day
4. Keep up to date with store manuals, policies, procedures, and product knowledge
5. Maintaining store displays and ensuring merchandise is well-organised, stocked and visually appealing
6. Conducting stock checks and assisting with inventory management procedures, on boarding new schools or product lines, receipting in of stock
7. Handling customer enquiries and resolving professionally and promptly
8. Ensuring the store environment is clean, safe and compliant with company standards
9. Supporting the retail team to achieve sales targets and store performance goals
10. Opening and closing of store

What we're looking for

1. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with our customers
2. Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering high-quality customer service
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
4. Basic numeracy skills and competency with technology and point-of-sale systems
5. Physical capability to lift, carry and stand for extended periods
6.



Flexibility to work either part-time or casual hours, multiple roles available, including weekend and additional hours at peak times
7. A positive, professional attitude and willingness to learn
8. Previous retail or customer service experience is essential
9. Ability to follow company policies and procedures with attention to detail
10. Additional hours required at peak trading times ie January and early February and October to December with flexibility to increase hours as store needs require
11. Leave not available in January to early February for peak sales season
