Cummins and District Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN1) to join its Multi-Purpose Service team on a four-week contract from 24 August to 18 September 2026. Based in Cummins, South Australia, this role offers the opportunity to work across emergency, acute, and aged care settings within a busy regional health service. Working up to 76 hours per fortnight on a 0.84-1.0 FTE basis, you'll deliver care across diverse patient presentations in a supportive, collaborative setting where your skills across multiple clinical areas will be valued.
- Work across ED, acute, and aged care within a single MPS setting, building breadth of clinical experience
- AUD69.42 to AUD92.71 per hour, depending on experience and classification

Preferred Requirements
- Demonstrated experience working in emergency department settings,
including triage and acute presentations
- Solid background in acute care nursing with the ability to manage high-acuity patients
- Experience in aged care nursing, with understanding of the specific needs of older patients
- Ability to work flexibly across different clinical areas and adapt to shift-by-shift redeployment based on operational needs
- Strong communication skills and the capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or equivalent emergency care certification
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated competency in emergency nursing or aged care is advantageous
