Road Maintenance Supervisor

About this opportunity

Provide supervision or direction to other employees for road maintenance and road construction activities.

The position is based in Boonah, but you may be required to work from any of Council’s offices (Beaudesert and Tamborine Mountain) or facilities within the Scenic Rim.

Additionally, you’ll also …

- Supervise staff undertaking a range of construction and maintenance projects requiring the application of established work practices and procedures.
- Manage, support and develop staff by assessing and reviewing performance and work standards for all subordinate staff.
- Review and evaluate procedures and techniques utilised by the Works team under control to determine and improve efficiently and effectiveness.
- Monitor expenditure in areas supervised to ensure compliance with budget, and advise the immediate Supervisor of significant variations.




- Provide timely reports and briefings to ensure the immediate Supervisor is kept fully informed on activities of project.

About you…

- Current card for General Construction Induction.
- Certificate III in Civil Construction and Maintenance.
- Advanced knowledge of road construction and road maintenance procedures, relevant to urban and rural roads as required by a supervisor.
- Previous experience of road construction and road maintenance.
- Understanding of budgetary control for projects.
