The Opportunity

We are looking for an engaging and credible Practice Education Advisor who can connect with medical practice teams, bring complex topics to life and h strengthen the capability, confidence and performance of medical practices across Australia.

This is a wide-ranging, highly visible role combining education, facilitation, relationship-building and practical risk advice. You’ll work directly with practice managers, reception and administration teams, nurses and other practice staff, delivering education that responds to the real challenges they face every day.

From leading face-to-face workshops, hosting live online learning to visiting practices to conduct risk assessments, developing new learning content, and representing Miga at conferences and industry events, you’ll have the opportunity to shape meaningful experiences.

Reporting to the Practice Risk Education Manager, the role will have a primary focus on New South Wales and the eastern seaboard and will involve regular travel.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Bring complex medico-legal, regulatory and operational topics to life through accessible learning
- Facilitate engaging face-to-face workshops, online education sessions, practice-based learning and conference presentations
- Build strong relationships with practices and healthcare stakeholders
- Develop practical and evidence-informed education content and resources
- Conduct practice risk assessments and provide tailored recommendations
- Support practice engagement, retention and business development initiatives
- Use feedback and participation insights to continually improve our offerings




- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support broader education and member engagement initiatives

What we’re looking for

Success in this role comes from excellent communication and facilitation skills, strong healthcare industry knowledge and the ability to develop trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

We’re seeking someone who brings:

Experience in medical practice operations, practice management, healthcare risk, nursing education, health administration or a related field

Experience delivering adult education, workshops or professional training programs

Exceptional presentation, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills

The ability to translate complex or technical information into useful, practical and engaging experiences and guidance

Strong commercial awareness and relationship-building capability

Experience working independently and managing a geographically dispersed program

A relevant qualification in healthcare, practice management, nursing, risk management, adult education or a related discipline

Hold, or be willing to obtain, Tier 2 accreditation in accordance with ASIC Regulatory Guide 146 (RG146). If you do not currently hold this qualification, Miga will support you in obtaining it.

A current driver's licence and willingness to undertake regular travel

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or other adult learning qualification

Experience within medical indemnity, insurance, healthcare regulation or medico-legal environments





Experience developing digital learning content or on-demand education programs

Established networks within the New South Wales primary care or practice management sector
