About theEchuca Laboratory

Austin Health Pathology is a department of Austin Health and provides service to not only Austin Health and the co-located Mercy Hospital for Women, but also tonumerousGP's and Specialists in the metropolitan and regional community. Austin Health Pathology is currently expanding into the Hume, LoddonMalleeand Goulburn valley areas of regional Victoria, with laboratories in Bendigo, Shepparton, Mildura, Echuca and Swan Hill and a point of care network.

Austin Health Pathology, Echuca Laboratory is a core laboratory offering services of Biochemistry, Haematology and Transfusion. The Echuca Laboratory supports Echuca Regional Health and providesservicersto the surrounding hospital of Cohuna. We have an outpatient clinic to support the wider community for their Pathology needs next door to the Laboratory.

About the role

The Echuca Laboratory is seeking a keen professional to join our team. We are currently looking to fill a permanentpart timerole within our specimen reception department.

The current role includes weekend work to support our sole Scientists.

A regular day will see you:

Sort and distribute all samples as they arriveintothe Laboratory.

Register specimens and request details into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)

Process samples for testing and deliver to the Laboratory

Package up samples for sending onto our main Laboratory in Heidelberg

Answer the phone and deal with any enquiries this may present.

You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strongcommitmentto excellence in patient care.You'llbring energy and drive to your workand have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
